‘Machachari’ Actress Suffering From Cancer Gets Nominated For A Prestigious Award

Last Friday the nominees for the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award were unveiled. The AMVCAs were created to recognize and celebrate the role of African filmmakers, actors and technicians in the success of the continent’s film and television industry.

Among the nominees was Veronica Waceke who was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer earlier this year. This goes to show that not even cancer can steal this girl’s shine!
She got nominated for her role as Aidah is a sassy University girl who runs an escort company and she lures her friends to join the business with a promise of good pay and the good life in the NTV Kenya series #HigherLearning.
