X FACTOR live shows kicked off at the weekend - but the real battle for supremacy was not happening on stage but in the female judges' dressing rooms.

Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger will go head to head for the crown of most stylish judge this season.
And the girls got their fashion fisticuffs off to a fine start.
Mentor for the boys, Nicole made the most of a golden opportunity to flaunt her incredible figure.
She looked a metallic marvel in a textured strapless dress by Kristian Aadnevik and black suede heels.
The rouched design looked spectacular under the studio lights - as did her simple make-up and sleek blow-dry.
Tulisa - ten years Nic's junior at 24 - chose a younger look for her 2012 debut.
The former N-Dubz singer wore a pink and black banded, strapless dress that delivered killer cleavage and a lot of thigh.
But she ruined the candy-fresh feel of her look with clompy black shoe boots - can this girl never get her footwear right?

The girls' Saturday choices were more trend-led by comparison.
Tulisa chose a strapless puffball frock with a rouched bodice.
The Carlotta style's flouncy skirt was not exactly flattering but we love that midnight blue satin with Tulisa's colouring.
And subtle black Miu Miu peeptoes were a welcome change of direction for the boot-loving babe.
Meanwhile, Nicole showed her edgy fashion credentials in an unusual panelled dress by IZMAYLOVA.
Ditching the bra in favour of cleverly-placed satin, PVC and sheer panels, the Poison singer vamped up her look with a high ponytail and PVC Giuseppe Zanotti ankle boots.
