DRAMA: Underwear thief in Kahawa Sukari, Nairobi

 Drama unfolded at Nairobi’s Kahawa Sukari Estate when a tenant was caught by residents in possession of a box of their lost inner wears. The man nick named ‘mheshimiwa’ because of his political aspirations and being a political fanatic is said to have been stealing from the residents for a long period of time before he was nabbed.

Residents said that their inner wears have been disappearing from the clothing lines for a long period of time and efforts to have the caretaker in the building investigate the matter went futile as he told them that his job is not to investigate such petty crimes but to secure the rental apartments.

The theft continued regardless of the grapevine spreading the news on the thefts. The caretaker at one time told the female residents to hang their inner wears in their houses to avoid similar crimes.

Apparently mheshimiwa who is doing well bought a new music system and to boast it to his neighbors he could play his local music in his native language which angered most of his neighbors.

A lady who lives just adjacent to mheshimiwa got irritated by the music and decided to put an end to the nuisance. She stormed into the house and ordered him to play his music softly but to the shock of her life she found her bras and two panties which she had lost a few weeks back hanged in the house.

The lady alerted her neighbors who flocked the house and found a box of their lost inner wears. He also had in possession a night dress which he had stolen.

The residents deemed mheshimiwa as a pervert and ordered the caretaker to throw him out. Despite the tenants’ demands the caretaker gave mheshimiwa a notice to leave the building by the end of the month.
