Kenya's free fall in FIFA rankings continues

The August 2012 FIFA rankings are out .Kenya fell by a spot to 126 from 125 recorded last month. FIFA did not factor in the friendly against Botswana which Kenya won 3-1 in Nairobi.
The national team is expected to take on Jamaica's Reggaeboyz in an international FIFA recognized friendly on 25th this month.Footbal Kenya Federation is in the final stages of appointing a new coach from the six shortlisted foreign applicants.The next World Cup Group F qualifier match  for Kenya  against Nigeria is set for  March 2013.
Ivory Coast is still the best team in Africa and are ranked 16th globally. Ghana, Algeria, Libya and Mali complete the top 5 in the CAF region.
Neighbors Uganda fell by three positions to 88 in the world while Tanzania are two places below Kenya.
Spain tops the World rankings. Germany, England, Uruguay and Portugal complete the top five. EURO 2012 finalists Italy are ranked 6th globally while powerhouse Brazil are 13th.
