BRENDAN RODGERS wants Luis Suarez to use his Olympic misery to bring Anfield a golden glow.
The Liverpool hitman returns to Melwood on Monday after Uruguay’s shock exit in the group stages of London 2012.Suarez got fearful stick throughout following his ban last term for racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra.
But Kop boss Rodgers insisted: “Opposition fans only give people stick as they are good players, bad ones don’t get it.
“I can’t wait to work with him.”
Liverpool will hold a behind-closed-doors game tomorrow to boost Daniel Agger and Andy Carroll’s fitness. Reds midfielder Alberto Aquilani has left for Fiorentina, freeing up a huge £6.5m-a-year in wages.
