It seems that the extreme militant group, Al-Shabaab is not yet
done with Kenya.Barely a few months after the gruesome Westgate attack
that claimed the lives of 67 people including Radio Africa’s Ruhila
Adatia-Sood, the group has promised more attacks.
In a publication of their jihadist magazine Gaidi Mtaani, the
al-Shabaab top commander Ahmed Abdi Godane is quoted saying that
"Kenyans are in for the long haul; the Westgate attack is merely the
beginning of a long, gruesome war."
They also go into great details to justify the Westgate attack as part of an Islamic payback due to the KDF’s presence in Somalia .
"The ever-growing list of atrocities committed by the Kenyan invaders against the innocent Muslims in both Somalia and Kenya justifies -- as a retaliatory measure -- the Westgate attack," the bi-lingual magazine read
The sordid threats continue "It seems that it will take more -- much more -- than just Westgate to get the message across,Kenyans should therefore brace themselves for more attacks, more blood, more gruesome days and more sleepless nights."
The magazine was launched in a number of Jihadist websites on November 12th
