GWYNETH Paltrow has been crowned the World’s Best Dressed Woman – beating off competition from the likes of trendsetters Rihanna and Kate Middleton.

The Oscar-winning actress – who turns 40 in a couple of weeks – was handed the early birthday present by People magazine.
They praised the mum-of-two’s style, saying: “Her red carpet skills are unparalleled, always arriving in unexpected, yet chic looks.”

The Duchess of Cambridge was ranked second by the US mag and praised for her “flawlessly elegant attire” – clinching the Best Classic Style accolade.

Actress Emma Stone, the Kardashian sisters and Jessica Alba also ranked high on the list compiled by the magazine’s editors.
We Found Love singer Rihanna scooped the Best Risk-Taking Style Award and model Miranda Kerr won the Best Street Style Award – but none could come close to Gwyneth’s overall style.
People magazine added: “Of course, it helps to have Gwynnie’s body when going for a Stella McCartney racerback gown or a Prada micromini”.

Gwyneth has kept her youthful looks and killer figure thanks to her workouts, yoga and a healthy diet.
The secret of her success, according to her stylist, is that less is more when it comes to clothes.

Elizabeth Saltzman said the star is not a slave to trends and added: “She has a uniform. It’s simple, not overdone.”
Gwyneth has two children, Apple and Moses, with her Coldplay singer husband Chris Martin.
The couple currently live in London but are moving to a luxury £6.6million mansion in LA so the Hollywood star can be near her elderly mum Blythe Danner.

Gwyneth has recently hinted that she may not star in the next Avengers franchise movie – because she is too OLD.
The star – who plays Virginia “Pepper” Potts in the first two Iron Man flicks – said about returning for a third film: “I don’t kow. I’m getting old for this s***, you know what I mean?”
