Mum of two pulled Penelope out with her own hands during shocking series finale
Kandid kamera ... little was off-limits during the birth
KOURTNEY Kardashian stunned viewers when she gave birth to a girl in front of TV cameras.
The birth came amid the series finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The whole clan and a film crew crammed into the delivery room for the birth in July.
And millions of US TV viewers got to share the experience on Sunday, watching in shock as Kourtney reached down from her hospital bed and pulled out newborn Penelope herself.
The candid scenes and Kourtney's unconventional delivery put some fans off their dinner. Viewers took to Twitter to call the episode "creepy" and "gross".
But the Kardashians - including Kim, Khloe and brother Rob - barely batted an eyelid as they watched the latest family member arrive.
Sister Khloe told the camera: "Kourtney just loves to pull out her own children."
Mum-of-two Kourtney cradled the baby and said: "It's such a magical feeling to say hello to my baby girl."
Even 2½-year-old Mason was on hand to watch his sister enter the world, although the toddler got confused when he was introduced to his newborn sibling.
When his mum said "Her name is Penelope," Mason replied: "No, her name is sister."
As if it wasn't enough to be there in the flesh, the whole family tuned in last night to watch it all over again.
During the show, Kourtney tweeted: "Wow! Crazy to watch this! Magical."
And when a fan wrote: "Just saw @KourtneyKardash have her baby on #KUWTK man she loves pulling out her babies :)," she replied: "Yes I do."
Earlier in the baby-themed series finale, Kim announced she was freezing her eggs.
The 31-year-old, who's dating rapper Kanye West, fears she'll struggle to conceive when it's time for her to start a family.
And Khloe, who is desperate to have a baby with basketball star husband Lamar Odom, found out her body's struggling to produce eggs during a visit to a fertility expert.
She confessed to the rest of the family: "I am not ovulating," she said. "I now have to be put on a chemical to spark some chemical to make my body release an egg."
