Andy Carroll: West Ham agree loan fee with Liverpool

West Ham United have agreed a £2m loan fee with Liverpool for Andy Carroll.

The season-long deal for the England striker could result in a £17m transfer at the end of the campaign, provided the Hammers stay in the Premier League.
However, it is thought the 23-year-old Carroll does not wish to leave Liverpool on a permanent basis. 

The Reds, who paid a club-record fee of £35m for Carroll in January 2011, have already turned down Newcastle United's bid to re-sign the player.

Carroll has struggled since his big-money move to Liverpool, scoring just 11 goals in 56 appearances.
He now appears to be surplus to requirements at Anfield following the arrival of former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers and Italian striker Fabio Borini from Roma.
Rodgers had said Liverpool would not consider a loan move for Carroll but now appears prepared to allow the player to link up with former Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce at Upton Park.
Carroll had also been linked with a transfer to Italian side AC Milan.
The striker began his career at Newcastle, spending a season on loan at Preston, before returning to the club and becoming top-scorer in the 2009-10 season as the Magpies returned to the Premier League.
Carroll collected a League Cup winner's medal with Liverpool last season, starting in the Wembley final against Cardiff City.

Steven Fletcher: Sunderland bid £10m for Wolves striker

Sunderland have made a £10m bid for Wolves striker Steven Fletcher. 

The offer is understood to be under consideration, with Wolves waiting to see whether Aston Villa decide to firm up their interest in the 25-year-old.

Fletcher's former club Burnley will be due 15% of any profit Wolves make on a player they paid £7m for in 2010.
Sunderland are short of attacking options following the departures of Asamoah Gyan and Nicklas Bendtner. Fulham and Stoke are also interested.
"We are not getting drawn on offers for players in or out," Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the Express and Star. 
"Our best players are not for sale; we want to keep them and build the strongest possible team for the season ahead. We will do everything we can to retain the players we want to keep and continue to look to strengthen with new signings."
Sunderland suffered defeat by Hartlepool on Friday, with none of manager Martin O'Neill's three strikers - Fraizer Campbell, Connor Wickham and Ryan Noble - able to find the net. 

Fletcher has two years remaining on his contract at Molineux, leaving Moxey in a strong position to negotiate the best possible deal.

No Sunderland striker reached double figures in the goal tally last season, with Bendtner and Stephane Sessegnon the top-scorers with eight.

Olympics football: Spain eliminated at group stage

Spain are out of the Olympic men's football competition after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat by Honduras.

The Hondurans, who won thanks to Jerry Bengtson's early goal, progress from Group D along with Japan, who beat Morocco 1-0.
Brazil beat Belarus 3-1 to qualify from Group C, while Egypt drew 1-1 with New Zealand.
In Group B, Mexico picked up a 2-0 victory against Gabon and South Korea secured a 2-1 win over Switzerland.
Bengtson, who scored both goals in his side's opening 2-2 draw with Morocco, found the net against Spain after eight minutes in Newcastle.
Spain, who lost their opening game 1-0 to Japan, hit the woodwork three times in the second period.
Japan secured their place in the knockout phase when Kensuke Nagai's late effort earned them victory against Morocco.

Kenya’s Ruth Matete jumped with joy and  lay flat on stage moments after she was announced winner of Tusker Project Fame season 5 singing competition, bagging Sh5 million and a recording contract worth Sh10 million.

An elated Ruth, aged 26, beat four finalists on Sunday night and thanked God for her success when addressing the crowd.

Joe from Burundi was number four, followed by Jackson from Rwanda

There were moments of tension after Ruth and another Kenyan contestant, Doreen were left standing, becoming clear that one of the two will walk away with the prize.

Doreen, had come to be known as the ‘Miss Probation’, thanks to numerous consecutive nominations for probation, and surprised many that she made it to the finals.

The competition started with 15 contestants drawn from East African countries with 11 being evicted before Sunday’s finals.

'I am a 26 year old lady born in the Western part of Kenya.
I love music and I believe that I will die doing music because that is my passion. Aside from being a passion, I know it is a gift I got from God. It keeps me going through life's issues.
Through music, I get to express myself easier and better.

Andriy Shevchenko retires to pursue politics career

Former Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko has announced his retirement from football in order to pursue a career in politics.

The 35-year-old Ukrainian revealed the news in a statement released by his club, Dynamo Kiev. 
He won his 111th and final cap for Ukraine on home soil at Euro 2012 when he came on as a substitute during his side's 1-0 group stage loss to England.
At club level, he made his debut for Dynamo Kiev in 1994 and went on to earn a reputation as one of Europe's most lethal strikers after he moved to AC Milan in 1999.
He won the Champions League with them in 2003 - scoring the winning penalty in the shoot-out - in a playing career that also saw him collect domestic silverware in Italy, England and Ukraine.
As a 29-year-old, Shevchenko signed for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea for £30m in May 2006, but spent a largely unproductive two-season spell in the Premier League before returning to Milan.
After he was unable to reproduce the deadly form of his previous spell at the San Siro, he signed a two-year deal with Dynamo in August 2009. 
Shevchenko was his country's talisman for more than a decade, and registered a national record 48 goals. He captained his country to the World Cup quarter-finals in 2006 and won the Ballon d'Or in 2004 as European player of the year.
"I will be going into politics," he said when announcing his retirement, and is expected to elaborate on his plans in the near future.

Alidai kuwa inawezekana tasnia hiyo ya filamu haina thamani kwani kila mrembo aliyepitia mashindano ya U-miss, baada ya kutoka huko basi anaingia kwenye filamu na kuachana na fani yake ambayo wenda ingeweza kuwa ndio fani yake.

Kenyan Gospel Artiste, Mbuvi

Gospel music in Kenya has its own class of audience but the audience is only fed with quality that is wanting and mostly, what is called the River Road recordings from both audio to video productions. The huge market for gospel music has therefore been left to either settle for that quality or seek solace in foreign music after picking from the very few artists who are trying to make a difference.
Such artistes include Daddy Owen, Mercy Masika, Marion Shako and Kwata Kawaya’s Mbuvi among others. Mbuvi has made a re-brand of his style and has created a new height in the gospel music standards. Below is his latest video, Wewe Mkuu. Our review of it puts it quite high among other gospel videos and we believe this is a step towards the right direction for gospel music.

Friday, 27/07/2012 - Prezzo is the man to beat in the Big Brother House. Once viewed as a controversial braggadocios rapper, Prezzo has branded Kenya and thus changing people’s perspective of him.

Recently, nominated MP Rachael Shebesh revealed that she is voting to keep him in the house. She claimed that unlike other contestants every time one sees Prezzo, they see the image of Kenya. “I am a big fan of Big Brother, thanks to my boys. And this guy Prezzo, before he went to the house, everyone thought he was just some rapper with bling bling. My perspective of Prezzo changed because he brands us. When Prezzo is in the house, you can see Kenya, whether it is the flag or whatever it is.”

Apparently, Presidential aspirant Uhuru Kenyatta is said to be discussing about BBA Stargame with his secretariat and rallying support for Prezzo. Sources within his camp claim that he has been voting for Prezzo within his free time.

Former top rival Jaguar has buried the hatchet with Prezzo and is currently campaigning for him to clinch the top prize. The ‘matapeli’ singer is reaching out to Africans to keep the man in the house as the countries publicity is growing.

If Prezzo got wind of this, you can bet that he would choke of surprise.

Chiwawa: Frasha shouldn't be on the judge's seat for 'Don't Break The Beat'

Chiwawa is now the second rapper to come out with claims that P Unit's Frasha should not be one of the judges in the ongoing Nokia: Don't Break The Beat competition.

The first rapper was rather angrier than Chiwawa. Khaligraph Jones made it clear that Frasha should be on the other side of the judge's table, and that is the stage. This was apparently the reason why Khaligraph Jones did not participate in this competition.
Both rappers made their stand in their MFB INTERVIEW. Chiwawa backed up Khaligraph Jones' opinion by stating that Frasha is simply not lyrically qualified to be among judges like Nazizi and Point Blank, with no offence at all to Frasha.

MBUNGE wa Kigoma Kaskazini (Chadema), Zitto Kabwe, ametajwa kuwa kichocheo cha kurejea kwa penzi la vijana wenye umaarufu mkubwa nchini kwa sasa, Nasibu Abdu Juma ‘Diamond’ na Wema Isaac Sepetu.

Uwazi, lina mkanda wa video, unaowaonesha Diamond na Wema pamoja kwa mara ya kwanza, baada ya muda mrefu wa kutupiana maneno mengi ya kashfa, huku kila upande ukimshusha hadhi mwenzake.
Diamond na Wema, walinaswa kwenye Tamasha la Kigoma All Stars, lililoandaliwa na Zitto kisha kufanyika Julai 17, mwaka huu kwenye Uwanja wa Lake Tanganyika, Kigoma.
Shukurani kwa Zitto, kwani kupitia tamasha hilo, Diamond na Wema, waliweza kudhihirisha kwa kila mtu kwamba uhusiano wao sasa umerejea upya kwa kuambatana kimahaba ndani ya Mkoa wa Kigoma.

SAFARI ILIVYOKUWA TAMU
Watu wengi wakijua kwamba kuna uhasama mkubwa kati ya Wema na Diamond, Julai 17, mwaka huu, ilikuwa ni mshangao wa aina yake kwa waliokuwepo Uwanja wa Ndege wa Mkoa wa Kigoma, baada ya vijana hao kushuka wakiwa wameongozana.

Diamond akiwa amevaa shati jekundu na tai nyeusi, chini akiondokea suruali ya jeans rangi ya bluu iliyopaushwa kimodo, huku Wema akitokelezea kwa koti la rangi ya maziwa, ndani blauzi nyeusi, halafu wote wameyaficha macho yao kwa miwani nyeusi, waliwaka vilivyo ndani ya Ujiji, Kigoma.
Baada ya kuwasili Kigoma, Wema na Diamond walielekea Hoteli ya Tanganyika Beach (ipo ufukweni mwa Ziwa Tanganyika) ambako walipata pumziko walilohitaji kabla ya nyota huyo wa wimbo wa Mbagala, hajaelekea Uwanja wa Lake Tanganyika kwenye Tamasha la Kigoma All Stars a.k.a Leka Dutigite.

WEMA ALIFUATA NINI KIGOMA?
Minong’ono ilitawala kila kona ya Mkoa wa Kigoma kwamba Wema amekwenda kuwakilisha Leka Dutigite, hivyo wakataraji kumuona Uwanja wa Lake Tanganyika, akitoa sapoti yake kwenye tamasha hilo.
Wapo ambao waliacha shughuli zao kwa ajili ya kwenda kumuona Wema tu uwanjani lakini waliambulia patupu, kwani mrembo huyo hakuonekana kabisa.
Kutokana na hali hiyo, wale waliovumisha stori kwamba Wema amekwenda Kigoma a.k.a Lwama, walionekana wazushi wasiofaa kusikilizwa, bila kujua kwamba mtoto alijificha ndani ya Hoteli ya Lake Tanganyika Beach.

Kama ukaribu wao ulisababishwa na tamasha lililoandaliwa na Zitto peke yake, basi wangekuwa na muonekano ‘feki’ sehemu chache wanazopita lakini kinyume chake wao walithibitisha wanapendana haswaa!

Diamond, alishindwa kujichanganya na wasanii wenzake aliokuwa nao kwenye shoo ya Kigoma kama akina Said Juma ‘Chegge’, Peter Msechu, Banana Zorro, Mwasiti Almasi na wengineo, badala yake muda mwingi aliutumia kuwa umbali wa mita sifuri kutoka alipo Wema.
‘Mtundu’ wa nyimbo mbili mpaka sasa, Nai Nai na Baadaye, Omar Faraji Nyembo ‘Ommy Dimpoz’, ndiye pekee aliyekuwa jirani na vijana hao maarufu, walioamua kurejesha penzi lao kupitia mwavuli wa shoo hiyo.

Kwa upande mwingine, ni kama vile waliamua kwenda kufanya tambiko nyumbani asili kwa mume mtarajiwa, yaani Diamond kwa sababu chimbuko la Wema ni Mkoa wa Tabora, japo baba yake, Balozi Isaac Abraham Sepetu, amejichimbia Zanzibar kwa miaka mingi.

Safari ya furaha kwa Wema na Diamond, ilihamia ndani ya Jiji la Miamba ya Mawe, Mwanza ‘Rocky City’ kwenye Hoteli ya Tilapia, iliyopo ufukweni mwa Ziwa Victoria, eneo la Capri Point, hiyo ikiwa Julai 19, 2012.

Habari zinapasha kuwa wawili hao, walipumzika kwenye hoteli hiyo kwa muda mfupi, wakati wanasubiri saa ya ndege yao ya kuwatoa Mwanza hadi Dar es Salaam ifike.

Ndege waliyopanda Diamond na Wema kutoka Kigoma, ilitua Mwanza saa 9:30 alasiri, hivyo kuanzia muda huo, waliutumia Tilapia Hotel mpaka saa 2:30 usiku, wakaripoti Uwanja wa Ndege wa Jiji la Miamba ya Mawe, kabla ya saa 3:50 usiku, usafiri huo wa anga, uliitupa mkono ardhi ya Mwanza mpaka Dar es Salaam.

AIR PORT DAR ES SALAAM
Mama mzazi wa Diamond, Sanura Kassim ‘Sandra Sammi’, alionekana Uwanja wa Ndege wa Julius Nyerere, kuanzia saa 4:45 usiku (Julai 19), hivyo kwa jicho la ripota wetu, ikawa wazi kwamba amekwenda hapo kumpokea mwanaye kipenzi, Diamond ‘Sukari ya Warembo’.

Kutokana na safari hiyo kuwa mguu wa Diamond uliambatana na wa Wema, kwenda kwenye shoo ya kutoa shukurani nyumbani kwao Kigoma, ni wazi Mama Nasibu (Mama Diamond) alikuwa pale pia kwa minajili ya kumlaki mkwe a.k.a Mka Mwana.

PW 415 YAWASILI DAR
Diamond na Wema, walipanda ndege ya Kampuni ya Precision Air, PW415 na ilipotimia saa 5:30 usiku, ilitangazwa kuwa ndiyo inawasili kwenye uwanja huo wa ndege wenye jina la muasisi wa taifa huru la Tanganyika na baadaye Tanzania, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere ‘Baba wa Taifa’.
Milango ya saa 5:52, Diamond na Wema, walipita kwenye mlango wa wanaowasili (arrivals gate), wakiwa sambamba na Ommy Dimpoz, walipokelewa na Mama Nasibu hadi sehemu ya maegesho ya magari uwanjani hapo.

Timu nzima, ilijipakia kwenye gari la Diamond aina Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, rangi ya fedha, wakatoweka eneo la uwanja huo.

DIAMOND KWA WASIWASI
Saa 6:14 usiku (Julai 20), Diamond alimpigia simu ripota wetu, eti akahoji kilichompeleka uwanja wa ndege. Mahojiano yalikuwa hivi;
DIAMOND: Kiongozi nilikuona Air Port, pale ulikuwa unafanya nini?
RIPOTA: Aah, kumbe uliniona? Mlivyojikausha nikadhani hamkuniona. Kuna mzigo wangu nilikuwa naufuatilia pale.
DIAMOND: Mzigo wapi? Naomba uniambie ukweli.
RIPOTA: Acha hizo dogo, unafikiri mimi nilikufuata wewe? Tena ningejua unafika leo, halafu ujio wenyewe ni huo, ningetega kamera zangu na tuwapige picha za kutosha.
DIAMOND: Aah, usifanye hivyo kiongozi.
Baada ya mazungumzo hayo, Diamond kila alipopigiwa simu hakupokea mpaka gazeti hili linanyanyuka kwenda kiwandani.

UFAFANUZI WA WEMA
Wema alipopigiwa simu na ripota wetu, alijibu kuwa yeye na Diamond hawajarudisha mapenzi, isipokuwa hivi sasa wako karibu kama marafiki wazuri kwa ajili ya kusaidiana mambo mbalimbali.
“Kusema ukweli kwa sasa sijafikiria kurejesha mapenzi na Diamond ila tupo karibu kama marafiki,” alisema Wema.

ZITTO NAYE
Jitihada za kumpata Zitto aweze kuzungumzia kurejea kwa penzi la Wema na Diamond kwenye tamasha aliloliandaa, hazikuzaa matunda. Muda wote naibu huyo wa Kambi ya Upinzania Bungeni, simu yake ilikuwa imezimwa.
