KBC Managers Send “Renegade” Staffers To The Countryside To Diffuse Tension

MIKE BWAX NEWS - In a bid to scatter tension, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation has transferred some of his “renegade” employees from the headquaters to the counties, sources told the Jackal News, the latest episode in the hilarious but career-ending stand off between the management and staff members.

This has followed the culling of renegade-in-chief Vincent Lempaa from the state broadcaster, a move that is expected to be one of the biggest labour disputes when he moves to court in the coming days.

These are the latest deployments. Nicholas Omondi (Digital Division) was sent to Nyeri. Silas Kiragu (IT Department) sent to Pwani FM, Luke Ochieng (IT Department) sent to him hometown, Kisumu, Philip Ochieng (Digital Division), sent to Nakuru.

Sources told the Jackal News that despite the “desparate” move, KBC staffers are determined to bring change in the sleeping giant as well press the management to pay them Ksh 490 million shillings they are owed by the company.

A recent parliamentary report recommended the disbandment of the KBC’s board of directors and vetting of top managers in a bid to restore sanity in the state corporation where everything is just madness. The report, which was handed over to the information ministry on June 15, gives the Information Minister Samuel Pogisio two months to effect the recommendations within 60 days failure to which, he faces censure.

Information PS Bitange Ndemo told the Jackal News that the ministry will and must implement the report.
