Volleyball League action heads to Mombasa

Shanzu Teachers training college in Mombasa will this weekend play host to the 6th leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation League (KVF) and the National Open volleyball tournament thereafter. The league matches will be played on Friday 15th while the open Tournament will be played at the same venue on Saturday and Sunday.
National women league champions Kenya Pipeline will play Stima Nyeri, Blue Triangle and National Talent Academy while African champions Kenya Prisons will line up against Ulinzi and Blue Triangle in te league action.
After the 5th Leg in Kisumu, Kenya Prisons leads the League ranking with a total of 32 points followed by defending champions Kenya Pipeline on 18 points and KCB in third place with 15 points.
In the men’s category, GSU has won all the 8 matches played so far and lead the men division One ranking with 24 Points while Ulinzi are second with 18 points.GSU will play 5th ranked Blue Triangle on Friday in the league.
